Fabulous Friday Felting

We are back from our long Easter holiday break, and are ready to challenge our hearts heads and hands at some new crafts.

Needle felted root children (and hand sewn wombat from felted scarf)

After admiring Marie’s amazing felt creations up close, and reading the instructions she so generously provided, our craft group embarked on creating a little of our own felted magic.

We started small with root babies and slowly worked up our way to pumpkins, mushroom children, and even an Australian Tree Fern version of marie’s wonderful Koru maiden.

After more pouring over instructions and some inspiration from this no longer active but inspirational blog  and this magic gem of a NZ childhood blog.  We bravely attempted some angels and faeiries.

We can’t thank Marie from Softearthart enough for sharing her talents with us and making it so much easier to try some new things with the finished articles in front of us to hold and touch.  Please visit her etsy shop and blog to see some incredible felt creations.
