I apologise that the blog has been quiet here for some time, It always seems to be the way when the year seems to rush on past the halfway point gathering momentum faster than realised. We have had a very small group, but have been continuing to craft a little sunshine for the school and the fair…
crocheting around darling little bottle vases
knitting little kittens
and letting our imagination loose on calico bags
We hope to be back up to speed and posting regularly again as the school fair looms ever closer. Please put the first Saturday in November on your calendar and start saving that loose change for a crafted treasure or two! We can’t wait to see you there !
Our biggest craft group this year!! Thankyou to all the lovely ladies who came to support us and the school as we craft a little sunshine in our lives.

Playcloths and cloaks have been gifted to preschool, and Mother Earth was finished for the kindergarten seasonal table. King Winter is running late though… maybe he will be finished next time 🙂
Happy crafting till then
A few little projects to stitch, sew and stuff this week. Felt horses, more little mice and chicks, and some story dolls to finish from last week. Come and join us for a cuppa, and help us get things to the classrooms on time where eager hands are waiting to play…
many hands make light work
This Friday 30th May at the school craft room from after drop off til lunchtime… or longer if we have enough interested crafters 🙂
A quick reminder that our craft group starts up again this Friday 16th May with some delightful dollmaking. Do please rsvp via comment, email or ring the school before Friday so I can ensure we have enough materials for everyone. Thank you! Hope to see you there to weave a little sunshine in the day. – Diana
Kindergarten Story Dolls
More rain, but some lovely crafts brightened up our day. It was great to share some crafty company with kids, thanks to Kate and her two boys, and Cynthia and her two girls. Surprise walnuts with ladybirds hidden inside and fabulous felted eggs were the order of the day. Kate’s eldest boy was so helpful and a natural born felter! It is wonderful to see young children engage with what we do in their own special ways, and certainly helps to weave a little sunshine into everyone’s hearts.

If you want to see more of our crafts, or pick up a little special something before the holidays, drop in and see Wendy in the front office where a selection of our crafts are on sale and display. Beautiful painted silk cards, nests of felted eggs, hand stitched chicks, surprise walnuts and wee felt mice are all available, but they won’t last long!

Happy holidays to all our crafty friends, look out for updates next term for another fun filled crafternoon (or morning) …
Come and join us for 10 minutes or stay for the whole day as we craft some special seasonal treasures. Friday 28th March 9.00am -2.30pm in the school craft room (and preschool garden -weather permitting)
a basket of felted egg shapes ready for embellishing…
Don’t be fooled! A day pouring with rain is a wonderful day to brave the weather and join us in a cosy corner of the school craft room to enjoy some creativity in great company. A huge thankyou to Kate for braving the weather even though she only had an hour to spare, and whipping up a mouse or two for preschool and kindy, and the amazing Amelia whose stitches look like they could have been made by the mice themselves.
Mice in the making
